Eloise’s first published writing was a poem, written when she was ten years old. She wasn’t published again until she was a grandmother, but she
kept on writing. She has now seen over 100 of her stories and articles published. Her first book, FINDING MARIAH, a YA Suspense, released by Hard
Shell Word Factory in 2000, was an EPPIE finalist in 2001. Her newest book, HEART’S HOME, is an adult romantic suspense.
Eloise and her late husband, Ken, raised a blended family of nine children. (Source for many of her articles and stories.) During her motherhood
years, Eloise was a Bluebird and Campfire Girls Leader, a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother and Boy Scout Committee Member, a Sunday School
teacher, Church Youth Group Leader, and PTA Member.
When Eloise started writing for publication, she joined many writers’ groups: CWC, EPIC, SCBWI, SCW, SPA, SSWC, RWA, TGN, and YAN. She held office
in most of those groups, including twenty-five years on the board of SSWC and two years as Treasurer for EPIC.
Eloise has now retired and moved to the mountains of Northern California with her new husband. She has declared a moratorium on holding office and
doing volunteer work so she can be what she started out to be: be a full-time writer. |
